• Suran, having conquered all three worlds, begins to torture the devas, forcing them to perform deeds they would never do.
• The devas go to Indran and plead with him to take action
• Indran pacifies them, leaving Indrani under the protection of Lord Aiyappan, proceeds to meet Lord Shiva
• Suran's sister, Ajamuki sees Indrani and attempts to take her to Suran.
• Mahakalan cuts off Ajamuki's hand and she flees to Suran

• Lord Muruga sends Veerabaghu to Suran's palace in Veeramahendrapuram, to request that the devas be released
• Veerabaghu goes to the jail to meet and pacify the devas
• He then proceeds to Suran's palace
